About Us

St. Paisios Press publishes for Orthodox men who want to live the faith rather than admire it.

The Church is a hospital, and a man enters it to be healed: through the Mysteries, under the guidance of a priest, at the pace mercy sets. Our work is to put into a man's hands what the Church has already been saying to him for two thousand years. We publish the Fathers and the great classics of the Orthodox tradition, the contemporary saints and elders, and the teachers, clergy, and authors carrying that same teaching into the present.

The aim is not information. The aim is men made fit for the callings God has actually given them: sons, husbands, fathers, godfathers, providers, protectors, servants of their parishes, friends to other men, neighbors to whoever is in front of them. Married or single, young or late-coming, the road is the same one.

We take our name from St. Paisios of Mount Athos, who did not ask ordinary men to become monks. He asked them to wake up where they were.
